I am looking for a compound hunting bow that can easily be converted back and forth between a hunting bow. It is for my brother. He is a beginner and doesnt need anything really fancy, but it has to be reliable and not ridiculously expensive. Any brand names etc you would reccomend? Thanks!
Look at the Mission bows or the Diamond bows. The Mission Craze and Menace are used by lots of folks as well as the Diamond Razor Edge. They're quality bows and inexpensive.. and tough enough for bowfishing.
IMO I would buy an old used compound for 30 or 40 bucks (or less) and set it up for bowfishing only. I see them at yard sales constantly. I prefer a recurve for Bowfishing but that's just me, quick shots are easier.
