    hey guys.
Im interested in starting bow hunting, i have an 20lb recurve bow with a draw length of about 25 inches. i was wondering if i could humanely kill a rabbit with this. If so whats the further-est distance?
    Thanks alot.

Personally IMO , No . Others may disagree , but I would not use anything less than 30# to hunt any Animal . You owe it to the Game to be sure of a clean kill and then it would not be anything over 15 - 20yds max .

20lbs will get the job done on a rabbit. I know my brother and I as youngsters shot rabbits with about the same poundage. It's very good practice. With that low weight I'd throw a 2 blade broadhead on that arrow though. A blunt In my opinion won't smack him hard enough unless It's In the head. My 5 year old nephew has been shooting chipmunks with his 15lb to 20lb recurve just using field points. It kills them right away (If he hits them) but their a little smaller then a rabbit.
