Hey guys I am wondering what gear should I get for basic archery hunting. Also if anyone would suggest any advanced gear for later on in the future that would be helpful to I know a couple of trail cams and a gps navigator system will be need in the future haha.

Wow that could be an endless list! What do you have so far? Off the bat id suggest a good gutting / skinning knife, good rain gear, a game drag to get your kill out pf the woods, a set of binoculars, put together an emergency pack for injuries and learn some basic bow maitanence and out a tool kit together for quick field repairs. Thats basic.......

bow, bow sight, arrow rest, arrow, release, target, broadheads, sharp knife. license.

that is the absolute bare minimum. you don't need optics, quiver, or treestand to get started. You don't even need camo if you are on that tight of a budget.

    From there.

Optics, treestand, quiver, haul line, drag rope, camo, scent control, bow hanger, good boots, good socks

    From there.....

I will be getting a PSE 3g stinger for 400 bucks that has all of that with a release some about 6 arrows and 3 65 small game heads and 3 broadheads for deer. Also i want to get a camo long sleeve button up camo pants boots a camo beanie and a face mask for a treestand I probably will get a climber stand since I will be hunting on public land mostly. Is that a good start. also what are some advanced stuff i should get such as gps units trail cams more stands???

you can get a climber off amazon for 80 bones cut and dry its not to bad its 33lbs tho if youre in shape wont matter much and youll hear alot about lone wolf stands and every kind of trail camera worth its weight, but you can check out the gear reviews section and check out what people had to say on other equipment

I think a trail camera on public ground is pointless. It will likely be stolen. Many people are sly, many people carry card readers with them and will look and check out other peoples pictures. If they see something they like they might move right on top of you. If your wanting to spend money on high end items. Save money and get a lease. Work out something with a good land owner where you can manage the property. From there, start building your resources/supplies.

If you are going to bowhunt public, save yourself the money and headache and buy a quality climber right out of the gate. Aluminum is a must and you can't go wrong with a Summit or Lone Wolf. Be sure to have a harness. Stay away from the steal stands that are heavy. A quality used climber is a dime a dozen on ebay, etc.

I also probably will not hunt deer this season I will probably start off once I buy my bow with rabbits, squirrels, foxes, coyotes, raccoons small game and furbearers so that I can get a hang of hunting first then probably scout during the summer when I fish and get a gps and trail cams to see if I can find the deer
