    The antis are coming!

I can hear it now "those hunters are drinking beer, ban hunting now". Remove hunters and hunting and insert fisherman and fishing. Sounds equally ridiculous, but I'm sure nobody here drinks beer while they're fishing. Hell, insert any hobby there.

Don't get me wrong fellas I'm not for getting drunk and hunting or even drinking while hunting it's just a topic that struck me as having the potential to highlight hypocrisy(sp?).

Having a beer or 2 with lunch and then going out hunting is one thing......bringing beer to the stand, like some have said they do, is on a different level of stupidity.

Compare that with cracking a few beers WHILE behind the wheel......if you want to use your previous analogy.

I follow you but open containers and drinking anything while driving is a ticket not necessarily a dui but a ticket for sure as opposed to having a beer on a stand in the woods which as far as I have read is not illegal unless your state has a zero tolerance law on alcohol while hunting, which many might. I don't really know. What if you pack your cooler in and you pull out your lunch and eat it on the stand or in the blind then wash it down with a beer, how is that different than having a beer or 2 for lunch then going hunting?

When the sun sets and we retreat to our truck. We start a fire after changing cloths and open the cooler of Labatts Blue.
I've had a few while practicing, but while on stand no,I pee enough with coffee in me.
remember ''u can't buy beer only rent it!''
The tree natizs(game comm)would shoot u on sight with a beer, then hang u,then kill u'r whole family, dig up loved ones and pee on their rotting corpses.......

The word "jackwagon" repeats in my head as I read this thread. Dan's response was spot on. I've done plenty wrong and alot of involved alcohol, but even at my finest, I never thought it wise/fun/interesting to take a beer with me while hunting. Unless you're blitzed and gonna shoot another hunter, the only one you're gonna hurt is you. I'm not offended by it, I just think your a moron who can't wait for a beverage until after you get out of the woods. Edit: insert smilie faces to make sure nobody tears up. :):):)
