I have been bowhunting for several years now and have not had a chance to shoot a mature buck, several does but no buck. That changed yesterday I went to a little place I hunt and sat on the ground. Had a shooter come by at about 70 yards then 15 minutes later here this guy comes walking right at me. He was licking branches and gets 10 yards from me looks right at me then begins licking a branch so I draw and make a double lung shot. I have been trying now for years to take a mature buck letting many younger bucks walk. Patiently paid off!!! IMG_2664.JPG

Thanks guys I had begun to wonder if it would ever happen. When I decided to use a bow I sold all my guns and went in 100%!!!

Congrats on a great buck! It was 7 or 8 years after I started bow hunting that I harvested a nice buck. Like you, several does but no bucks. Then 2 the same year. The largest one is a 150. Took a beautiful buck, 140 class in 2015. Then this year, a 200 class.
