What are you all using for a bedside safe? Now that the little guy is getting more mobile, it's time to get the .45 out of the drawer.

    So, what do you have?
what do you like about it?
    Dislike about it?

Should be an interested thread. I saw a video going around Facebook a few weeks ago of not really safes, but acted like one as they were hidden in shelves or behind mirrors. I'll post the video if I can find it.

I've used gunvault, just the electronic push button ones. And they do what they say they do. It's like a padlock, it keeps honest people honest. Also faster access=less security, more security=slower access.
I liked mine when I had it, gave it to a friend as his moms mental health started to get worse.
My boy is older now and my pistol is always carried except when I sleep.
The one I had was the gvdeluxe, plenty of room for a full-size hand gun, spare mag, light and a charged cell phone.

I have a GunVault SpeedVault. The regular push button one. It's lightning fast and very easy to conceal. I like how the profile lends itself to being bolted to a piece of furniture. I also doubt anyone can open a biometric unit as fast as I can open this thing, it's very easy to run the combo on this thing in the dark quickly.

I have a gun vault that the battery went dead and for the life of me i cant remember where i hid the backup key. Nothing inside at least. Getting forgetful at my old age of 33. Lol i was very happy with it when the dummy owner kept a fresh battery in it. Cant remember the model though

We get asked this question a lot and the gunvault Rick brought up is the winner often times for what people want...that is if they people truly want it assessible...you'd be amazed how many people think they need it locked up tighter than a bank vault..yet believe they'll have time to get to it.

Right now I'm a gun on nightstand guy...but once we have kids it will probably be the one brought up that is by my bedside (rest in locked standing vault or smaller pistol wall vault.

I've heard of people contacting gun vault and them having keys for this situation (kinda like a master)...just heard though no confirmation true. I'd reach out to them.

Mine had a plug in power source as well as battery and keys. One thing on the gunvaults, they say in the manual to used a specific brand (can't recall) but their not joking. Mine would not work with other brands.

I received a gunvault last Christmas. There weren't any keys in the package. I reached out to Gun Vault. Worst customer experience I have ever had. It took them a week to get back to me, another 4 weeks for the keys to get here, and they sent the wrongs keys on top of that. I still have the vault and its a glorified paper weight.
