So I have always hunted small properties where deer pass through but as I get ready to go to college I might have to hunt public lands. I have never found a bedding ground for deer so what are some tips to look for them?

The advice I have ever received for locating bedding were the DVDs by the former Blood Brothers. They have since disbanded. A couple of the original 3 guys put out a new DVD a year or so ago, but did not have the educational value of the Hill Country Bucks and Marsh Bucks DVDs. I would suggest those 2 DVDs to get started.

I have since been able to study a topo of a piece of public land I have never stepped foot on and walked to that area and found good sign and tagged a buck a couple days later. Then, 1.5 days later I got an even larger buck but that was complete luck as I stalked him successfully after seeing him from the road while crossing a creek. Below is the smaller buck.
