Shot was pretty meh... Back... Cough! I didn't think I'd find this doe. Let her sit for four hours and she died 60 yards away from where I shot her. The rage cage did its job and I'm so happy and blessed!

Thats my entry! She was courting toward me a bit at 15 yrds - pretty steep angle also. I didn't push her at all - checked the arrow and backed out. Gave her 3.5 hours and she died where she laid down. Tough track as we had a dusting of snow - she didn't go Far but blood was hard to come by. I can understand your feeling to a certain extent - buck or doe, you want to make good shots and you want to recover your kill. Everyone wants to close the deal and it is a sick feeling not closing it. I was worried.

Aye Cledus you get that buck measured yet? If not, I got to thinking - if you got a bowshop in your area or something like it you can probably find someone to help you measure him correctly! I only mention it because when I kill my buck here in the next week or month (call your shot, but don't be too cocky) I'm going to go to my local bow shop. Well was out for a doe tonight. Ended up seeing one doe...be chased by 3 bucks! Lol sounded like a train going through the woods. Ran by so fast I couldn't get a shot:/
