Well sorry to hear that, keep to the grind! As frustrating as that must be - get back on the horse and go again, not that you needed that bit of encouragement but every little bit helps!!
Sunday I contacted a tracker from United blood tracker...she brought two dogs out..we started looking at 8 am she left at 12 noon..I called some people and we had 6 people walking corn strips we walked all of them we searched woods as well we left at 5 pm that night..yesterday I went back there with another buddy of mine and checked other spots we didn't check..dad said Thursday he's going back over there and wonder through a corn field again and walk the river to see if it's laying in there...needless to say I'm sick to my stomach and thinking about not bowhunting again. went to the store today and bought different broadheads. Needless to say we checked everything with no luck.time to start looking for crows and vultures. ..and thanks for your encouragement bud! Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
Tou can't let one small mishap keep you from pursuing your passion. Like sycamore said, get back out there and keep trying, things like this have happened or will happen to every great bowhunter. If you can't find him soon. Forget about it and keep trying for a different buck. This weekend should hold some great action!
I did learn something from this...I don't think I will ever look for the deer that same day again no matter what...unless I see it drop Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
Yea wasn't in doubt waited 4 and a half hours before taking up blood trail that's usually plenty of time...but I will just wait until the next day Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk

What broadheads did you use?? I've never lost a buck, because I've never shot one with a bow in the 4 years I've been bowhunting. I can imagine that my reaction would be similar. That said, you've got to get back out and enjoy it for what it is worth. We all hunt for different reasons, but I don't care what "reason" it is that you hunt - a lot more to it than just killing bucks. I don't know you personally but if I were a betting man you put too much time and money into thi sport to call it quits because of one devistating event. Get out, enjoy Gods creation of nature and have fun! Maybe, you will get another chance at a buck if you play your cards right!! After all, you'd give similar advice to me if the roles were reversed.
I was using hartcraft Scooptail Broadheads treestand ones...your exactly right I would probably be giving you the same advice..I will probably get back out there on Saturday morning I just went and bought the montec g5s I hope these won't let me down! Sent from my SM-G900R4 using Tapatalk
Didn't get in any closer huh?? I think I'm going out tonight for the first time since Friday. Going to try and get on a doe.
Sorry I haven't been on in a while, guys. Life got real busy for the last 3 weeks or so. Just finished up guitar lessons last night, so I have Tuesdays open now. Got a new stand hung, and a new camera placed. I'll try to keep y'all posted on how everything turns out.
