the forecast is sayin low of 74 high of 88 for us in North Florida....which makes me happy...considering last year it was in the 90s opening day haha
Man I was suppose to be going up there to Madison county today for tomorrow's opener with a buddy but like always he don't pull through when it comes to hunting.
Nestled into the stand between food and bedding areas, got a perfect wind, plenty of crops in the field, a quiver full of sharp broadheads, and the cameras are rolling....hoping to get it done opening morning in FL
Back at it...Well I got about 40yds from my first stand choice to find 2 deer bedded underneath my tree...literally, under it...Smh. Right idea deer just an hour or two too early. As a backup I circled about 200yds to another stand on their route to a mineral site...standing by for payback!
whole lot of nuthin...morning was a bust from the jump (no pun intended). wind was terrible and switched to exactly the opposite and wrong direction at day break. BUT i was able to watch the sunrise from atop a tree, so it wasnt a total wash.
I need to mow my food plot before I hunt it again. It didn't come in good so I'll just bush hog it all down and start over.

I'm back guys, had a great trip, didn't kill anything but saw tons of Antelope and quite a few mule deer, including a nice 5x3 this morning in velvet. I probably won't be able to get out and deer hunt until the later part of the week. Hoping to check my 6 trail cams tomorrow or wed. Awesome deer sycamore!
