    But yes, that’s why we hunt from elevated tree stands...duh.

    Most likely are.
    Ma Nature tells em when to wake up. Bear like greens when they come out of Denning.
    However, when melt water flushes them out, they have no choice. Right now, they may become visable but largely stationary.
