Bear v plane... Duct tape to the rescue

    Not sure if others saw or heard this story...

    During a private "fly-in" fishing excursion in the Alaskan wilderness, the chartered pilot and fishermen left a cooler with bait in the airplane. A bear smelled it and decided he needed to check it out. This is what the bear did to the plane.

    The pilot used his radio and had another pilot bring him two new tires, three cases of duct tape, and a supply of sheet plastic. He patched the plane together, and FLEW IT HOME !

    So long as the frame isn't jacked, the skin does little on these smaller planes... Literally helped my neighbor a bit when he rebuilt his...the skin on his was literally a canvas fabric (+dope + paint)...

    That tail does not look good, they did not take a picture from that side after the repair.
