My dad and I walked into my bait site tonight and the whole place was tore up. I checked the trail cam and had 4 different Brown bears and 8 different black bears. Over 700 pics! After seeing the big guy its a little spooky walking into the woods. The 1st pic is a bait ball we had in a tree 12 feet off the ground and a bear got a hold of it. Enjoy the pics.

These pictures are great. Keep us updated on pictures. Do you have any pictures of the bears messing with the bait ball?

Unfortunately, The bait ball isnt in the camera. Im kinda thinking that a blackie climbed up and chewed on it. I have a hard time beleiving that big brownie reached it. I'll post some more pics for you guys

Heres a few more pics. Im going back out wednesday. Im sure I'll have more pics. Hopefully less browns and more blacks though. Just so you can get an Idea of how big that bear is in the 1st pic. Thats a 55gal drum thats 10 inches off the ground. Im 5'8'' and the top of the barrel is even with the middle of my chest! So his back is pretty close to that. My dad and I shook that barrel as hard as we could and it didnt budge at all. That bear came in and moved it with his head. haha

Excellent pics!! It seems the Browns are much more aggressive with the barrel compared to the blackies.

I have a 45/70 lever gun that I walk in with... I have it shouldered. Its shootin a 480 grain bullet at 1650fps. Its a big gun but its a big bear too. haha And my old man is beside me with a 460 S&W. We make a lot of noise going in aswell. But careful I will be!

Yeah, they are. I put a 4.5" hole in the barrel to keep the blacks in and the browns out. The sow and boar can't fit their paws in the hole so they get whatever is on the ground. That's why you only see those 2 Bustin up the barrel. They get very mad when they cant get whats inside.

We had 12 different bears come into the bait in 4 days. Only 2 of which I can legally take. So, I'm going to be sitting alot waiting for a single blackbear.

Male or female. Just as long as the females don't have cubs.
