    Hey guys,

    I'm doing a products review paper for one of my classes. Our teach wants us to review 2 or 3 products of something we plan on buying in the near future. Since I'm gonna get a new bow by July I thought it'd be a great excuse to review bows. My budget is around 500 bucks I figure. I'm leaning to the Mission Venture, however I do like the looks of the Martin, and the Bear Mauler supposedly puts out more fps which I know isn't all that accurate. The Martin is the cheapest where the Bear and Mission are right at 500. I'm gonna search for some retailers in the area and attempt to tryout these bows. I'm wondering what to look for when shooting these bows. What questions should I ask the retailers? And also if some of you guys have shot or own these bows what did you think of em?

    Not sure if this post will be of any use to you or not, but you say your budget is $500 and a couple of the bows are right at $500. Will you need to add any accessories to the bows? Do any of the 3 bows come with items the others don't? Or are all of these bows completely bare? While this may not come into play for your paper, it may certainly be a consideration for what to purchase. Just a thought.

    The only assessory I might plan on buying next season with my bow is a better drop away rest. However the bow I have now has a new sight, stabilizer, string and cable. The bow I have now is actually not too bad but I wanna upgrade to a lil quicker bow and also something that is possibly quieter and also that has a shorter axle to axle length. My bow right now is 36.5 and all 3 bows are 32 or less.

    the main thing i would look for is feel and personal preference. your probably going to be shooting that bow for a while and you don't want to get a bow that is not enjoyable to shoot. as for the bows themselves, they are all really solid. the venture is built the most solid, and the mauler is probably the most stable with its lean build, and quietest with its short limbs and double string dampeners. they all have great reviews, but i would definitely shoot them all first.

    I had a 2011 Martin Firecat 400 (dual cam the 360 is single cam, thats the only difference) and its a flat out fantastic bow !
    I would ask ;
    How draw length changes
    How draw weight changes
    Is let off adjustable
    What dampeners are on it outta the box
    What other features are on the bow
    (quick disconnect stab etc)
    Warranty info
    Then shoot em all, write down likes and dislikes
