I found a used Bear Instinct setup with everything (rest, quiver, sight, peep sight, stabilzer, 6 arrows, Broadheads, practice tips, release, and hard case) all for $300 maybe i can talk him down even more. What does everyone think of this price? Im new to bow hunting so any input is appreciated. The equipment on it is decent. looking forward to what everyone has to say. Thanks

We're gonna need more specifics. Year of the bow, kind of rest, and sights, what kind of arrows and broadheads?

Make sure it is the right draw length for you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought a Bear Instinct when they came out in 2006. I payed $500 for it from my small town dealer. If I would have bought it on line or through Cabelas it would have been $450 new or $500 with a package deal. By 2007 you could pick a new one up for $400.

You are probably looking at a 5 - 6 year old bow. I really liked mine and it is my backup bow. If the bow itself is in great shape it should be worth $200. Find out if it the string and buss cables have been replaced lately. If not you are looking at $ 100 to have some one do it. If the string/buse cable hasn't been replaced recently... $150 for just the bow. They really should be replaced if original.

Give us the specifics/brand of the arrows, rest, stabilizer, sight and quiver.

    A 1/2 dozen new arrows will run you $40 - $60
New Sight will run $50 - $100 for decent.
    New quiver - $30 - $70 for something decent.
    New Rest - $40 - $100 for something decent
    Stabilizer - $20 - $50 for something decent.

I would look up what he has on it and see what it would cost new. If in excellent shape... the most I would pay is half price. If worn, junk or damaged... a whole lot less to nothing.

Check on ebay or run a search on Bear Instinct to get a better idea what people are getting for them.

I ran a fast search and found two with a package deal of $250 and $275 ( no arrows )
Ebay has 4 Instincts on it now.

Thanks TJF. I'm going to look into all that. See the ones for 250-275 makes me think this can go lower. I'm pretty sure the strings will need replacing. So now I'm thinking I'll hold off and just get the PSE brute x or the bear Legion im interested in. That way it's new and I know exactly what I'm getting.
