Looking for info on the proper timing for a single cam on a 2007 bear instinct. Bow is marked for 70# draw weight but can only pull 53# with limb bolt tightened all the way. Any ideas?

Perhaps, your bow has been mislabeled or the scale being used is providing incorrect readings?

If the limb bolts are all the way turned in, the brace height (distance from deepest part of grip to string distance (7.5 inches) and axle-to-axle length (31 inches) are correct and the string anchor bolt (socket head cap screw on the cam) is in the center of the slot, the cam is “timed”.

You will not be able to gain more draw weight with the system as it is unless the limbs are replaced.

Bear Archery has a limited lifetime warranty to the original owner on limbs and riser materials and workmanship (0-3 year parts and labor).

thanks for answering my question. i had checked my ata and it was 30" and the bh was roughly 7 3/8 and it sounds like cam timing is not the issue so i think i will have the limbs replaced.
