Last year my good buddy Brandon Wikman for Bass Pro's Next Generation was up to do a little bear hunting with me. Thought I would share a little bit of the hunt with you and his first bear.

Great stuff there Dan!! That Brandon dude seems like a fun guy to hang around with. Nothing like getting a guy pumped up for bear season either, 12 days away!!

I like the set up with the logs too, well done!!

Steve.....my first hunters will be here in 4 hours and start hunting tomorrow. :) There's a few baits that look to have Sasquatch tracks around them. Going to be a good season!

Everything is set up and they don't hunt until tomorrow. Plus, its changeover day and my day with the kids while Jill cleans cabins.

Unicycle.....but that's a story to share over a few beers.

I should clarify that I didn't do any of the filming on this hunt. Brandon came up with his cousin Joe, who ran the camera. Joe killed a bigger one on film last fall a couple weeks later.....I gotta find out where the video is on that one.

I keep the pop-tarts for myself!

How much extra is the hunting if the tarts are included? And do you have blueberry?

Edit: Just now watched the vid. Cool stuff.

Eat every bit of it. Personally, I believe bear meat is 1000x better than venison. It has so much flavor. Hard to describe, until you eat it.....cooked properly.
