    Hey fellas,

    I live in MD and wanted to go bear hunting in WV this fall. I want to get a guide but I don't want to go through an outfitter. How can I go about finding one and when I do how can I tell if it's somebody I wanna go with? I just moved to MD last fall and haven't met anybody I can go with otherwise I'd go that route.

    The two kind of go hand in hand I am not sure you can do what your looking for. Maybe try and get a local to run baits where you plan on hunting.

    If im not mistaken... paid guided bear hunts are illegal in wv.
