I didn't get no pics of us baiting. We were way too busy looking for new area's to bait. It was a long weekend of baiting. We lost 3 baits to logging and another bait to a storm that came through In late July and another bait to rain as it was way to wet in this spot. They had 5 inches of rain here a few weeks ago. We've been hunting this area since 1991 so allot of these baits we've been baiting in the same exact spot for 22 years.

Putting up new baits was fun though as I do enjoy scouting and finding new stuff. One spot in particular I found 2 beds that I'm pretty sure are from bear. The beds were too big for whitetail and this area was way too thick I think for moose to be in. Tons of small growth in this spot. 2 to 3 inch popple trees a foot apart everywhere with a few adult pines here and there to use for stand tree's. This could also be a great spot to set up a natural ground blind which I've always wanted to do. The leaves from all the popple trees blanket the ground nice not letting the sun in much making it nice and cool in there. I'm hoping this is a nice bedding area for bear. We shall see I guess. We saw some blue berries and raspberries. Word from the locals is that the berry crop is awesome this year. I like good berry crops. It keeps bear in the area.
