I've shot it a couple of times and should be purchasing it in a couple of weeks. I like it. Smooth draw, quiet, great bow, IMO

I'm a Bear guy all the way. Not only for performance but for the company and how well they back their products up. Any Bear you get is going to be a great shooting bow. I shoot the Bear Legion and I LOVE it. You wont be disappointed.

I just bought the Bear Encounter about a month ago. it is a very quiet bow and i love it. It is my first bow and I look forward to using it this deer season.

I got my encounter in dec 2011, ive had a cpl problems with it, namely the string has came off the cam twice while drawing ( the first wasn't the bows fault though I got a twig Jamed in it while drawing) and the string doesn't hit the string stop dead center so it makes the string pop around the side. With that said I still like the bow as it is smooth, compact and quiet. For the price you can't complain for sure. Just a suggestion but if you can you should check out the mission riot. Same price point, but I'd say it's a bit nicer.

Bears can be scary, wouldn't want to "encounter" one without a big gun.

I just bought the Encounter. I'm very pleased with it. Bear just made possibly a lifelong customer

I noticed that too as I was shooting today, but I just turned the stop the other way and it was no longer an issue for me

Your lucky then. I've had to replace the stop and re serve it there. I've flipped it like you did but it didn't help:confused: atleast it worked for you though

I have had my Encounter for over a year. I truly enjoy the bow. I have harvested 3 deer with it. It is light, very adjustable and ready to hunt. I could have spent a lot more money, but since I just got back into bow hunting after a 20 year hiatus. It met the bill. You will be happy!

Glad to see so many positive reviews. I'm looking at picking up the RTH package soon and was looking for some opinions in it. Seems like a good choice then.
