Hey guys/girls, I bought a new bow about 2 weeks ago. I had an old dual cam Myles Keller bow. I purchased a Bear Encounter bow 70 pound, 29 1/2 draw weight with 80 % let off and will shoot 305 fps. I shot ths bow a few times before settling on it. The only bad thing in this combo was that Bear uses all trophy ridge products and the sight that they give you is kinda weak. The pins are very small and not bright at all. I ditched it and swapped out my old sight which is much brighter. Over all I love the fact that I can change draw weight and length without the need of a bow press. I had gotten so used to holding back about 20 or so pounds so now holding back like 1/2 that weight is so awesome. I cant believe how fast and how quiet it is. Very good deal for the money. I am a hunter who is on a very strict budget, seeing as right now I am the only one in the house who is working. If anyone needs anymore info on this let me know, will be more than happy to share. Looking forward to taking my first turkey and deer with it.
Good luck to you Gene. I was going to a Bear Lights out bow, but they had stopped producing them and I couldn't find one at the time. I hope you enjoy the bow and have many kills with it. take care.... and again Good Luck!
I'm a new archer, just ordered one of these up and can't wait for it to get here. I've been flirting with getting started for 10 years, and this bow was too good a deal to pass up
greetings, I just purchased this bow. price to good to pass up, and it's a bear! I to will replace sights, remove wrist sling and peep. anything more you can tell me about this bow would be appreciated. thanks...
CONGRATS ON THE NEW RIG!!! Great shooting bow and a killer deal! The small Pin thing is Kinda a long range perk. They throw em on there so it doesnt cover the target. Guess they figure you will use the light in low light shooting. why take off the sling and peep jody? just curious
