Bears are great bows. Pay attention to the brace height, IBO speed, and axle to axle on the bow. A lot of people try to make sure the IBO is more than +300fps. Some people won't shoot a bow if the IBO is under 340 because they want to hit 300fps with a set up. 7 inch brace height or more makes a bow forgiving to form errors. Not a lot of people are accomplished shooters. Some people don't pay attention to the brace height. Shorter A2A is better to carry in the woods and have in the treestand, but some argue that too short causes you to lose downrange accuracy.

Bear and Mathews are both great bows. Shoot whatever bows you can and choose.

Being shooting Bear for a while now. There products will compete head to head with any hunting bow on the market. Don't think I would get the RTH package though. Buy it bare and put what you want on it.

I shoot a Bear Truth II. I am relatively new to bowhunting (3rd year) and I absolutely love my bow. I think you should buy the bow that fits you best. By that I mean -- shoot a bunch of different brands and take your time to decide.

But like headstrong already said, buy a bare bow and customize it to your liking.

    Best of luck!

Yeah, do yourself a favor and dont buy the ready to hunt package. I did that with my Bear Light Out, and the only thing that is still the same is the quiver. The sight housing cracked on me, I ended up hating the Whisker Biscuit, and I switched stabilizers.
