I saw recently in a video that Aaron was talking about a new bow they were collaborating with Bear Archery on and here it is. The Bear Adapt with the help of designing from the Hunting Public at a nice price point. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Looks like a decent bow for the money.......I haven't tried out any Bear bows since Truth model back 2007 or 08 though so not really up to date on the quality of their products
I also don’t know a ton about Bear and their bows. I know the Hunting Public talks highly of them. I’m currently torn between the Whitetail Legend Pro however after watching lots of reviews. Also looking at a Mathews V3 27. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Really love the price on this bow. I'm still using a 2013 Bear Method. This would be a perfect upgrade for me since I already have all of the accessories.
Yeah, the price is great. Looks sweet too. Can't seem to find the physical weight of the bow but, the specs aren't much different than the Threat I'm using now. Not sure it would be an advantage to switch.
Yes it is a solo cam. They went for super adjustable and comfort hunting bow. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Ordered mine today. I wanted to try the single cam and I have been looking at Bear for quite some time with the price point you can’t hardly beat that bow. I don’t think it will take the place of my Elite.
Post an update after you get it! I’m in the new bow market and am torn between a couple Bear Bows and at Mathews V3 that I love in the hand. Big price difference tho. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
nothing wrong with single cams .. Ive still got my old 2004 Bowtech single cam Patriot, hunted/ shot indoors and 3D with it... great history with it ..
I'm a complete moron when it comes to cams and stuff. Does the bow get up on target and shoot easily with single cams?
Not really. Here's a decent explanation: https://www.deerhuntingguide.net/single-cam-vs-dual-cam.html Personal experience: Shot dual cam bows for years. It was all we had back in the day. And, we just dealt with the tuning issues. Switched to a single cam because, well.... I wanted something newer and the price was right. Nothing against the bow or the maker. Shot a few deer with it but, missed a few, too. Could never get used to the softer back wall. I know it was human error. But, never happened before. Heat of the moment changes things. Back to a dual cam. Love the solid back wall. Anchor point is the same no matter what. Adrenalin...clothing... They say they're noisier. Things have come a long way. Mine has dual string stops and numerous other silencers. Shot it next to other single cams and we can't tell the difference. It all boils down to what feels right to you. And/or what you're used to.
I bought the Whitetail legend (not pro) last year. It is a single cam as well. So far so good. Has a good feel and draw cycle for me.
I shot a lot of single-cam bows back in the day and never had any issues to speak off. I had an old Diamond Marquis that I absolutely loved, and then moved into the Mathews Z7X after that. As for this particular bow - there is nothing special about it that we haven't already seen in a sub-$500 price-point bow, this one just has a THP logo on it.
My Bear Adapt was waiting on me when I got off of work this afternoon. Great feeling bow grip feels awesome fit and finish looks excellent. Hard to believe this is a mid point price bow. Have not shot it yet I will be rigging it out in the next few weeks.
