    X2 Front X2 Back

I was sent the new 2012 X2 block target from Hips Archery Targets located in San Antonio, TX for review. I have found this target to more than I had bargained for. In the series of the 2–n-1 targets meaning, it takes both field point and broadheads, this is turning out to be quite the little target with some big features. This lightweight lbs target not only allows you to shoot either type of tip but also offers all 6 sides for shooting.
The 2012 has better and tighter shrink wrap covering, along with endurance foam which is newly formulated foam that allows for enhanced stopping power and self healing properties. This as I have experienced also provides easy arrow removal of both broadheads and field points. In the making of this target they utilize heat-welded technology to fuse layers of the endurance foam into an awesome stopping block, ensuring that there is friction on all surfaces of the arrow for greater stopping power.
This target is also designed to be lightweight not only for carrying but allowing it to absorb impacts from todays high speed bows and cross bows better, if a target is heavy then it doesn’t seem to absorb the impact as well.
The target faces have also been improved and are attached much better than last years model and seem to hold up well to a lot of shooting. They also give you a lot of aiming spots to work with giving you maximum use of this target. Another new and improved feature is the re-vamped handle located on the top near the back and inset into the target.
Made with only top grade material that are 100% recyclable which is also another big plus about this target. Hips does not use any seconds, regrind, recycled or scrap material in any of their targets.
As stated at the beginning, this target was more than I had bargained for and have discovered this target is a heck of a lot of target and made to last. So, it’s that time of year you should be practicing for the hunting season or staying in tune and if you don’t have a target or are in need of one look no further than www.HipsTargets.com
