Fawns are dropping. I found this little guy in my woods today. He was tiny.

Now is not a good time to mow those overgrown fields or burn off some tall grass. There could be one of these guys hiding there.

Really cool John. I have been hearing a lot of deer in the woods behind my house lately. I hadn't heard much action for months until about two weeks ago. The back of my hill that leads down to the creek is thick with some good hiding spots. I was playing with my dogs tonight and saw two does jump up and run. I bet they have some little guys with them out there.

On another note, I almost crushed a big bodied buck last night. Was driving 50mph when I saw a flash of red/brown and a developing rack run across the road right in front of my truck. Slammed the brakes and missed that buck by only 5-10 feet. Be careful out there is right!

Seeing that little guy made me think of my catch at work the other day. Pulling weeds and he jumped out and scared the poop out of one of the guys i work with. after a few minutes of chasing the little guy me and another buddy caught him to release him across the street in a more rabbit friendly area. Here is what my friend saw jump out at him-
