You're correct, I did not choose the best wording on that. I'll forgo further arguing in this thread, as it really just a dog chasing it's own tail. I will say luckily we are still able to have open debates like this w/o fear of a knock on the door, so all hope is not lost.

    If you're offering 7.62x39 I'll bid them.

I for one sure the hell hope not. But, it could. Why let us take any steps in that direction?

I love ya Dave, but you never really give any reasoning to back up your "the sky is not falling" train of thought. You just say its not going to happen, yet you call people crazy for pointing out things that are happening pushing us in that direction. At least the crazies are giving evidence.

So....you don't think it will? You don't? Why not?

    Bingo! Jack!!!!

I am not a sheep, I analyse the direction of our country. I look at the steps our government takes. Most people just live in blissful ignorance to how all-powerful our federal government has become. I do believe we are going down the wrong path. I can certainly see a scenario where the government thinks it knows what is best for the citizens and rules in that manor. If you want to see a microculture of this way of thinking, just look at some of the regulations that the mayor of NYC has instituted, or pushed for. They truly are taking away freedom of choice from the public. I see the same type of shift in our federal government, and those that don't take the time to look at what our government is doing are not helping us. It's time that every citizen starts to care and look at what our government is doing with a critical eye!

Because we wont let it. We will get run over a little bit at a time until we have had enough and then it will be over. The libs will have had their 15 minutes of fame. I think we are getting pretty close to that mark now. We were a sleeping dog that now has one eye open, waiting. Obama's second term that we thought would never happen was the flip of the switch in my opinion. What happens over the course of his current term will likely be the final straw to break the camel's back. To ever think that we will let it get so far as to be engaging in combat with our own government is crazy in my opinion. It just wont happen. Those that are stocking up on arms and ammunition to fight against the government are truely crazy. Think about it. If you really believe that would happen, and you have any sense at all, then you would realize that an entire basement full of guns and ammo will do nothing more than make your house a bigger hole in he ground than the neighbors. Which of your neighbors is going to come after you rather than stand beside you? So, if you are not fighting your neighbor and your guns are ineffective against the military, you might as well be buying some good hunting land. The arms available to civilians are a mute point. Fear mongering is the embarassing side to the conservative cause.

Love you too man. In a very conservative way.

The problem w. your argument is that you believe the majority of Americans are engaged in what is happening to our country, but the truth of the matter is that the majority of Americans are ignorant to what is happening around them. As long as they can watch Jersey Shore and Honey BooBoo, their life is good. These are the same people, that unfortunately, got out and swung the election in the wrong direction. These are also the same people that wouldn't stand up and fight for their neighbor, they would just be herded around like sheep and do whatever big brother tells them to do.

Perhaps that is what the majority of America wants these days.

I never said any of those things, so please don't imply that I did. I said they were normal people that were ignorant to what is going on around them. Most of them are fine people, they just don't take up enough interest in what our government is doing. I'm not even talking about those lazy people living off the system. I've already written them off, and know where there vote is going. That is not a large enough group to swing the election, but the uninformed majority was enough. You and I know it, but at least I'm willing to admit it.

And you don't see a problem with that. Apathy is a dangerous thing.

I see a big problem with it. But if my beliefs are in the minority guess I guess there isn't much I can do.

I think you are combining other issues in the country that are not connected to what this thread is about. It is about drones with missiles. If you want to start a new thread about the other issues in the USA I will probably agree with most of what you say. The least of my worries is drones with missiles

But, that is part of the problem. We see the government doing something and think, "that doesn't make sense." but our attention span is so short, that we forget about it. I see it as an exponential situation, where every bad decision builds on top of the previous. So I cannot separate one issue form the other. As far as drones are concerned, can anyone explain to me what purpose they would serve? Can someone explain the 2600 MRAP's that the Department of Homeland Security purchased? All these decision have to be lumped together to get a better understanding of what is going on! Our government feels the need to gear up for war on our soil with someone, that is obvious, but I have already been told that no country would ever consider invading the US, so that leaves me to believe the threat comes from within.

Wrong. I believe no such thing. But, the more we lose in rights, the more people that will become engaged and then the tide turns. My point was that the majority are still asleep and just now starting to smell the coffee. Push them far enough and you better believe they will fight hard for their neighbor.

To change the direction the country is headed right now is almost passed the point of no return. Who is going to arrest the President for not defending the constitution or congressmen or senators? Our system is flawed we are forced to vote for the lesser of 2 evils and have an electoral college slant the final decision. As long as the electoral college is in place we will only have to viable candidates. Also term limits on everybody that holds a government office should be mandatory. The HAVE NOT'S have out numbered the HAVES and they want a government that takes care of them and they are willing to give up their rights.

Serious question; let say a drone flies over my property can I shoot at it? It is in my air space.

Can we list the rights we have lost?

Perhaps that would put this in perspective.
