I'm not aware of the govenments historically running these countries prior to their socialist takeover. My main concern is lies with the future of our Constitution, as it has been what has kept us a free people. It seems within the last decade the federal gov't has been infringing on a more constant basis, using fear tactics of what 'could'' happen if we don't allow them to take away some personal freedoms. Are you we really so afraid of terrorists that we are willing to give up our personal freedoms? If that is the case, the terrorists have won. I do not have the same freedoms now that I had in the mid 90's.
So which crook would you like me to vote for? They are still politicians. Until we get term limits and fire all the career politicians, were screwed. Until America wakes up to realize we are heading down the wrong path, we are screwed. I don't see either of these happening, so in my opinion, we are screwed!
You might want to brush up on your social studies, but the United States is not a democracy. It's a republic.

You obviously never read any philosophical pieces. The root of socialist movements begin with capitalism move to communism and then end with socialism. It's an imperfect system in an imperfect world.

In middle school my teacher assumed something. Then i told her not to do that it makes an "*** out of u and me". She didnt think it was funny and i got sent to the dean. My dad on the other hand laughed since he is the one who told me that at a young age.

If you are saying there has never been a country like America before, bravo for chanting the sky is blue. While I tend to agree that the odds of something this extreme happening are rare, five years ago I'd have said having armed missile drones patrolling within our borders to be rare.
