Yes, the Attorney General stated last night that the POTUS has the athority to do such a thing, he went on to further say that it is unlikely Congress can do anything to limit his authority under Article 2 of the Constitution. They are litertally hand picking which parts of the Constitution they will and will not follow.
He may have authority to use drones to monitor but show me some evidence that I have to worry about missiles getting dropped on my head by drones.

Did you read the link I posted? You don't find it a little alarming that the 5th Amendment doesn't seem to apply to US Citizens on US soil? They are stretching laws in their favor and using past attacks as scare tactics to promote their agenda.
So here's the question that needs to be answered. Why would any person in our federal government feel the need to fly drones w. hellfire missles over American soil? Why would our president be unwilling to compromise on the budget, yet say that congress is unwilling to compromise. Allowing our government to go under sequestration? These are all questions that I cannot answer, unless that answer leads to believing that our government is no longer a government of the people for the people by the people. Instead, that answer leads me to believe that the government has already moved to a socialist state that is planning on ruling over the people!
What makes our country any different from all the past instances where this exact thing has happened? I'm sure the Russians, Chinese, N. Koreans, Bosnian's, Cuban's, Bolivian's would dissagree with your statment, and those are just examples from modern history taking place within the last 100 yrs. Hell, we did it to people in our own country not so long ago...
The local city council has the right to re-zone the land my office sits on to residential and boot me out. Is it going to happen? Alarmed? No, not at all. Your state has the right to exercise imminent domain and condemn your property to use as it sees fit. I am not going to waste energy worrying about things that will not happen.
Faith in my fellow countrymen? Sure I have faith in them. Do I have faith in our elected officials? Hell NO! They are power hungry, they no longer care about the good of the whole! All they care about is getting theirs, to hell with everyone else. Do I trust Obama? NO, he hasn't proven to me that he's here for the good of the county. In fact, almost every major decision he has made has pointed my opinion in the opposite direction. I truly believe he want to change American, he's said it over and over. The problem is nobody stopped to ask him what he want's to change it to. So to be honest I don't give a damn how you feel about my thoughts. I'm sure those that elected Hitler thought he was the right choice too, but history tells us they were wrong. Don't you think it's possible that America could have been wrong?
How many of those countries were formerly run by a true democracy in modern times and then changed to a "socialist" type regime? Serious question, because I dont know for sure. I am guessing, none. I know Russia had Czars, China had Emperors, etc. Pretty hard to take away a voice, once it has been given to the people. Easy to keep from them what they have never been given.
Sure I believe America was wrong in electing Obama. Everything is not rosy here. But I don't think they are coming for my guns or going to drop missiles on my head.
