I see, if you can't beat them... Beat on someone else's chest who did. That's cool though, you guys did play Appy State and Toledo really tough.

BTW whats with the UM marching band director quitting UM to take his "dream job" as the band director for Western Michigan? LOLZ....

No really I didn't make that up. The UM's band director position is a stepping stone to better gigs in the MAC.

We're talking about bands? Not a game, not a game...bands? We're talking about bands. Not a game I put my body on the line for every time, but bands. We're talking about bands.

But since you brought up bands...I'm sure you know how Ohio got their famous "script ohio". You're welcome.

Just so I'm clear, since we can't use the history of the game/schools, how far back am I allowed to go? Can I only use the years when tOSU is good? Because thats what you do.

That is not true that I only use the years tOSU was good. Find any where I boast about Woodys accomplishments (beyond perhaps a passing mention, although I do not recall even doing that), Earl Bruce's etc.

While I find them cool and adds to the tradition of the University I don't use them to back debates. I don't use all time records etc etc. Again, I think they are cool and all but I am more a what have you done for me lately kind of guy.

That's why UM is cool with their 10-2 and 8-4 seasons they are satisfied with what they accomplished in the 1920's.

    I am always about now.

Come on, that is hilarious that your band director bolted for his dream job in the MAC, your diversion tactics do not take the humor out of it one bit!

Thats great. Personally, I would statements like "rare" conference championships in reference to the school with the most. Maybe add "in the last ten years" since the team you support is good right now. Because basically everything before 2004, Michigan won about half the conference championships since the 40s. How far back can we go? How about 1980? Michigan has 13 conference championships since then compared to tOSU's 11. I even counted the vacated ones to make it closer for tOSU. Pre 2005 and its not even close. So its cute that your team is good right now, but I like a larger sample than "what have you done for me lately".

I find it slightly odd that anyone would care about this. Are you being serious? I would assume you are joking, but I can't be certain.

It would actually be 13 for tOSU and 13 for UM since 1980 based on your criteria.

That's cool, I am a Browns fan for the NFL... Jim Brown is the greatest running running back ever and they won eight, count them eight championships son... The Browns are the GOAT :D

I could not care any less about your band director leaving UM for his dream job in the MAC, the title of an article about it caught my eye and I thought it was funny.

Yeah but Penn State has the greatest coach, the reigning coach of the year B.O.B. Wisconsins days as the alpha dog in the B1G are over.

Funny I never notice you talking about your team of choice, why is that? Probably has to do with Iowa sucking at everything, well except losing.

No, it has everything to do with me not giving a crap about what any team does. I dont care if an Iowa athletics team is the best at anything or the worst at everything. I have no interst and think its amusing when people feel like they are a part of a "team". But, if being a fan of a team that wins an athletic contest makes you feel superior in some way, have at it. If knowing every players name and all their stats and where they played highschool ball and what color of underwear they wear makes you feel like part of the team, then I hope your team always wins so you can feel good. GO tOSU!!!!!

The only athletic teams I have any interest in are the ones that my boys participate on.

Maybe I will change my online persona to "hawkeye". Or not.

You hate that kitchen lady dont you.

I am happy to see that you are looking out for my happiness and well being by rooting for tOSU now. To think, I used to think you were kind of a ****... Looks like I was totally off with that impression.

Although I am not a stats guy, I am more about the impact a player makes when they are on the field.

You have been speaking an awful lot about men's underwear lately though, it is kind of worrisome? (I have taken a new found interest into your well being, just as you have for me) Maybe it's time to make a thread outlining all the reasons Fletch is gay?

How could I hate the kitchen lady? I have to respect a lady who knows where she belongs ;)

Just picked up a pair of tOSU boxers. Silk. Kind of makes me feel like I am part of the team.
