Anybody tried these? I need some new base layers that are decently affordable and come on tall sizes. I found these that look pretty descent. Come in 4 different weights and stay under $60 per garment. Anything else I should look at?

What they are made out of. Cotton kills. Silk or wool or synthetic way better.

    Just my 2 cents

I have the 1.0 and 2.0. I like them both. They're very comfortable and reasonably priced.

Pretty sure it's mostly synthetic. I know the light weights are all polyester. Still looking for the make up on the heavyweights. It says polyester with hollow wound yarns on the website. I don't know what that means.

Agree, the big advantage to wool is it doesn't smell nearly as bad as synthetic after use. I personally wouldn't waist my money on anything but merino wool.

    Frantic,
in my opinion it just means that it's made with a loose weave pattern(think crew sock design vs typical wool sock-IE thicker) to help trap air next to body as an insulation help! My thoughts!

I use redhead axe cold gear and they work excellent as a base layer. Priced at about $45 a piece.
