Tom at Cutting Edge in Greensburg, IN. He's the ONLY person who works on my bow. He's the best, hands down.

An afterthought, I looked my bow over again and found that now that it is working properly again the timing reference marks are now off again. I put a few on paper and found that there is little to no taring and all are consistent, the bow is no louder nor is there any more vibration than when I first got it. I wonder if maybe the reference marks are off or simply just a guide. I wonder if they might move if I were to change my draw length. I think I might do it and see.

The timing hole on your top cam should have the string directly in the center of it (when at rest). The same goes for the white mark on the bottom cam. As people have said before the PSE stock strings are garbage, but will suffice until you can purchase a custom "pre-stretched" string. Changing the draw length and draw stop will just affect where the cams rotate over and stop. Timing is its own beast.

As I said in my first post. My Revenge has Drive cams...I love them...but anyway...lol. The timing marks " White lines on top cam and bottom do not have to be perfect...but both the same. When I installed my new string I got them as close to perfect as possible. When I got my bow new they weren't exactly behind the lines then. Hope this helps you some. How you like your Drive?

Like most people are saying, never take your bow to the big box stores! This is not always true but i'm noticed at the local bass pro here and others i've visited the guys working have no idea what there talking about! It seems that MOST of the people they hire dont even hunt or fish no less know about the products they try to sell and work on. Thats not always the case but its more common than one would think!

I have been to the Bass Pros around where I live and am just struck by how little the guys in the archery department know. I asked about arrows, could't even give me a straight answer.

Guys, Thank you all for your suggestions, advice and shared knowledge. I am not a newbie archer. I am however new to compound bows. I have never, until this year, had to have someone else service my equipment. But I have a guy here in town that has great reviews and seems to really know what he's talking about. I'll use him strictly from now on. Now, can anyone recommend a good custom string? I think my local guy makes strings, maybe I'll get him to slap one of his on and see how it goes.

@Bootlegger: Man, I LOVE my Drive! Blazing fast, quiet and hits like a freight train. What about your Revenge?

I love my Revenge...So smooth and Fast. Wasn't sure what to expect with a 340 IBO and 6 1/4 Brace Height.....but it shoot so well. I couldn't be more happy. I love the Drive cams....just so smooth.

nice, My wife is really interested in the Revenge due to the compact size. I have been eyeballing the Hammer. Can't find any reviews on it though.
