Anyone around Bolingbrook, IL going to Bass Pro today? Bill Jordan, Tyler Jordan and David Blanton are appearing today (Aug. 9th) at the Bolingbrook store. I was going to take my son but just getting back from vacation has me not really excited about loading up the truck and traveling anywhere. Anyone make it to any other stores around the country and meet any pros?
Our very own celebrity Donny boy was at the one in MO yesterday, he told me he gave Mark Drury a reach around..... I think Dub's was at one on Friday as well.
Mobow told me not only did he give Mark Drury the reach around, but he was wearing a WKP while doing so! Doesn't fair well for Todd and the WKP boys and next year's DVD sales. Mobow was either paid or is a WKP :d
I went and met Michael Waddell and listened to him talk yesterday at the BP in Oklahoma City. He is a pretty funny guy, and he'll shoot the breeze with you all day long.
Excuse my ignorance, but isn't Waddell still with Gander Mountain?!? and if so, wouldn't his appearance at a Bass Pro Shop cause a conflict with his contract? That is still pretty sweet you were able to meet him. He always seemed like a down to earth kinda guy.
He is VERY down to earth. While he was giving a shooting demonstration he went off on a rant about activist, politics, and hunting rights that probably lasted 15 min. His opinions are bold, yet respectful, and at the end of it all he said this, "Even though I can argue over this issue all day, remember this. We, as hunters, should NEVER have to give an excuse to do what we love to do." And he always has time to talk to the kids, which I thought was respectable in itslef. IMO I think he represents us very well, and I now have a much larger respect for him. From what I saw yesterday, he is a great guy.
Whatever it takes, gentlemen. Whatever it takes. I actually spent more time talking to Taylor about her first buck she shot with a bow last fall. She is one stand up young lady. There's no better way to a father than bragging up his little girl. It was pretty cool, though.

I'll be working the Bass Pro in Springfield Friday, Saturday and Sunday this coming weekend for BowTech, and the Cabela's in St. Louis the Friday, Saturday and Sunday after that. If anyone's in the area, stop by and say Hi!
man, wish I knew about that sooner. I like the videos jordan puts out. Love to get a chance to meet waddell. where could one find out a schedule as to where these guys are going to be. Greg wish I had the time to come & see u there, but alas, work, work, work.
in da woods, here ya go. This tells when all the pros will be where. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CFPageC?storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&appID=206&template=pros.cfm&option=2
Okbowhunter, thanks very much. That's really cool. Too bad alot of dates have passed. where did you find that info out?
I will have to stop in and see ya at Cabela's next week. Seeing as its only 15 minutes away. You giving out samples???
To tell the truth there are some people on this forum that I would drive accross country to share a campfire, stories, experiences, or just to shoot the chit with for one evening, than drive 2 miles down the road to see some of the celebritys. Would much rather spend some time in Springfield talking hunting and shooting with Gregmo than some celebrity that has not hung his oun stand in the last 5 years.
Couldn't agree with you more. I've had the pleasure of meeting some of the guys on this forum and I can't say it enough, it was a pleasure and honor meeting these guys and quite honestly, I hate not having these good friends living closer.
Yer gonna make me tear up...... But um, dude.......What in the world are you doing awake @ 1:30 am??? Don't you have heavy machinery to drive in the morning??
