Today's fishing trip was mostly spent helping my two young nephews catch some bream and crappie. This evening I prepped for my next day on the lake, I have a couple types of soft plastic lures set up as texas and Carolina rigs, a lipped crank bait, a spinner bait, and a rat-L-trap rigged and ready to hit it hard on my next bass fishing attempt.
Top water! Gotta love this time of year. Anyone ever heard of lake casitas it's in California home of the biguns. I fish there at least three times a week.
I have been catching a few bass. I try an go 3 or 4 times a week. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Tapatalk
Finally Got Out on the water! We had a picnic to go to, so we only fished for a few hours but it was just great getting out there ...caught a few ... Largemouth, 3 smallies and a sheepshead...
This little 4 lb'r came in 4th place overall at the International Bass Fly Fishing Tournament held annually at Lake Fork, TX. My fishing partner and I choose to fish a section where there was heavy hydrilla at the shore, going deep. Unfortunately, the winning bass, an 8 lb gal, and the winning string of 5 bass at 94", came from shallow sections. Oh well, it was crazy fun... It was caught on a deer hair mouse, Mike's Mad Mouse. I included this gusty blue gill who tried to eat the mouse.
I finally found some bass yesterday, I didn't catch anything big. My nephew caught the best one of the day at 3.5 pounds. It wasn't the best day on the lake, but considering the luck I've had lately it was encouraging to finally have some luck.
Love those swimbait fish. This fish came out if the water a foot and a half with my big ol trout lure pegged in its lips.
