I'm thinking about shooting in my basement tonight after the kids go to bed, my wife gets home around 10:30 pm so I'll have a couple hours

I haven't ranged from wall to wall to see what the exact distance is, but I'm guessing 19 ft, plus I have a stone fire place backstop so no worries about holes in the wall!!

    Has anyone else done this???

21 yards in mine, end to end.
Just make sure you hang a sign on the basement door to alert any potential unwanted lane violations!

    Yep,
Shot the 11 yards down the hall, into the garage many nights. Quit when I put an arrow through the drywall. My two cents.. shoot outdoors or at minimum 20 yards.

Yes, I can get about 18 yards by shooting through a doorway from one part of the basement into the other. Sure helps pass the time when you cannot get outside or it's too dark after work to do it.

oooops I meant to say 19 yards not 19 ft!! That would be boring shooting at 6 yds lol!

I have a good sized backyard, but my house isn't really big enough to shoot farther than about 6 yards inside. i have seen videos of people shooting an extremly close target. Would it be unsafe to set my up target just a few feet away from me and practice shooting into it from a sittins and kneeling position? I think this could help my form a lot cause i wouldn't be worried about hitting the X or even getting it near the Bullseye. I am just wondering if it is not a smart idea to shoot a 60# draw bow like 5 feet into a target indoors?
