Banned! Eternal punishment, or grace after a time?

So I have a question ... let's say a member gets banned once ... does he or she ever get a second chance to play nice or is it eternal punishment from the site?

I mean, is there EVER a reprieve?

 

I was permabanned from HNI. I've never tried to get back. I guess I should try just to see.

 

If one deserves a reprieve don't they all? Also, lets say said member was spoken to several times and warned of the behavior prior to his/her banning?

A fair warning was given. My $.02

 

Fair warning is great .... but like anything in life ... child .... prisoner .... etc .... warning was given ... then punishment .. then reprieve .... so a banning is a death penalty, in your opinion? I am just wondering how that works...

 

When I get banned, I will fully accept it was my fault and go on my merry way.

 

If you and I haven't been banned yet, we must be immortal :D

 

Each case is different and would have to be reviewed by the admin. In Jeff's case........ he had ample warning. That leopard won't change his spots.

 

How do you know how much warning he got, Greg .... curious....
BTW, this is not necessarily about Jeff ..... I am talking Shoobee, HCH. ....anyone ...

You guys are great and all, but it's nothing life altering to be banned from an Internet chat room about hunting. I doubt I'd even notice much lol. Anyone who cares that much needs to reprioritize

This being said, most of the guys that get banned from here have been banned from multiple sites. They are who they are and they will not change.

I'm all for giving second chances, but most of those who were banned were suspended at first. They got their second chance and squandered it. So, IMO we don't need them.

 

Was HCH even banned? I thought Jeff was the only one (at that time) to be banned?

 

I've unbanned users if they email or message and seem like they really will quit being [as] troublesome over on the other site.

More often, I get an email/message that asks, politely at first, if they could be unbanned... and why the felt it was unfair (it's the other guy's fault!) or whatever; but about half-way through the message the person becomes unhinged and starts using expletives and then tells us to shove our site where the sun doesn't shine. Sometimes there are two messages sent back to back... first one asking to be let back in. The second one, sent only minutes later is a vile diatribe.

It's awesome. I can only imagine how unstable those people are in real life.

 

I dont think he was, I think HCH had to climb a tree to keep some of the dogs off his legs, hell some were even dragging his girlfriend into it (what ever "it" was) calling her names.

 

Don't you just love people that start talking smack through the safety of the internet.

To me it's really but that's me.
