Bald Eagles of Southern Iowa

    These eagles showed up here for the first time. They've been here about a month and the most here at any one time that I know of is 7, two days ago.

    That one Eagle has been sitting in the same tree for 6 hours. There are about 20 ducks in the brush along side the pond below him. They're staying put and so is he. I have this feeling he is partial to water fowl.

    I have seen a lot more bald eagles around here lately. I never used to see them but this hunting season I saw well over a dozen. In fact I saw one 2 days ago. Great pictures!

    Thanks Dan. You want to see a lot of them? Usually, they are thick as thieves there at the Des Moines River bridge on Hwy 92.
