bad shaft

    I have been shooting the gold tip hunters. I switched to the gold tip hunter xl this past weekend. everything was the same on the arrows as far as gpi,weight,length etc. I just wanted a little better arrow. when I was shooting them yesterday for the first time I had one of them splinter on impact. what I was wondering is if you guys see this sometimes. just get a bad arrow?

    It can happen to any arrow but it's honestly very rare if the arrow hadn't been damaged previously
