Where I hunt I often hear those day brake gun shots knowing that the shooter is most likely not just practicing,
every time I hear one of these my heart sinks knowing that some sleaze ball is most likely braking the law.
I keep telling myself that it's a turkey hunter.
Heard a gunshot outside the house the other day (close) walked out on the porch and seen a little red car sitting
in the middle of our country road about 75 yards from my house, I watched two guys looking up the hill on my neighbor's property with what looked to be a gun out the window (not 100% sure). I walked out in the road so they would see that they were being watched , as soon as they noticed me they sped off in reverse and turned in the nearest drive and headed in the other direction.
I am almost sure that they were shooting at a deer by the way they acted, there are people like this EVERY WHERE and I am sick of it. I have ran in to many people like this in my 31 years, I like to talk about hunting and could not count the time I have heard people say that they don't care if the season is in or not if they want a deer they are going to shoot a deer giving the excuse that they are the land owner and can do what they want. Most of the time I find that it is the most uneducated of the bunch that feel this way not knowing the impact they have on the over all deer population by shooting them out of season.
Some laws I don't understand but game seasons is not one of them.

This is such a sad topic.I hate this. And farmers are just as bad here. Each year they give farmers who own "X" amount of land 6 deer tags to harvest deer to stop destroying crops. GIVE them 6 tags! This is crazy in my book seeing how we only have one buck and one doe tag. Poachers are bad here in KY also. Alot of them just shoot n take the horns or just shoot em for the heck of it! Never even go see if they hit it. In these cases I see one reason why Congress has a right to take our gun laws. For stupid people out there. GW make attempts, but for the most part they are for the easier jobs. Why I remember hearing about a fake robotic deer sting a long time back. Theyd set it up, and set a trap for poachers. Havent heard of them doing this in over 5 or more years.

I've honestly never heard one landowner say this in Iowa. Most are deer hunters themselves and aren't poachers or going to shoot a deer out of season just beacause "they own the land." That's just asinine.

"In these cases I see one reason why Congress has a right to take our gun laws. " ?????????

Congress has no right to take our gun laws, The right to bare arms is just that, a right

You can't justify taking the rights of the masses because of the actions of a few.

How long did the deer lay. I can't believe it went bad that quick.

i say put a few signs up around that say ALL TRESPASSERS WILL BE SHOT( obviously you wont) but if i was poaching some property i wouldn't want to test a guy. and put up some trail cameras. or wait out there in a week or so and catch him and confront him.

But it only takes a few to ruin it for all others.
