Every once in a while you read a post and are surprised by who wrote it then there are others and you just think to yourself...that figures
No Charles Bronson, Chuck Norris, or Clint Eastwood movies. I might have seen The Outlaw Josey Wales in here. What about the Death Wish, Mission Impossible, and Dirty Hairy movies. All classics and Bad a$$ in their own way. :p
Umm, Road Warrior???? Magnificent 7 Dirty Dozen the Alamo (John Wayne version; but it's almost not fair since it's a true historical event) and someone did earlier mention Josey Wales, which deserves many more accolades than it got here. I watched it recently for the first time since I was a teenager and was blown away by how bad@ss he really was in that; in most of his Westerns he played basically the same character, and to an extent in this one that's true, but he was just so damn MEAN as Josey Wales. To that end, does it get any more bad@ss than Gran Torino?
I was scrambling to read through the responses to see if "Taken" was listed. Yours was the first one I saw, Christine. As far as "bad-a$$es" go, Liam Neeson's character in the movie taken tops my list. So, to the OP, my favorite "bad-a$$" movie ever is "Taken".
