This sucks! Here we are a few weeks from the season starting and I get hurt at work! Today I was picking up a patient that was on a back board and something let loose in my shoulder. The occupational health Doc said he believes its the rotater cuff! I go to see my Doc that cared for the same shoulder last year and see what he says on Monday. As of right now I have a weight restriction of no more than 10 lbs on my right arm. I cant win for loosing! Something always happens during or near season.

I feel the same way! I was working 3 days ago and got a bad burn on my right wrist right where my release sits. It hurts so bad to shoot. But I can't stop ! haha.

Rest & Ice, the compression and elevation are difficult to apply to the shoulder. I'm not a Dr, so I"m not qualified to recommend a pain reliever...

I'm hoping to make it a couple more seasons, but I tore ligaments in my wrist last year and shoulder in the spring, so I empathize. Hope you're feeling better soon!

LOL yea rest as much as I can and the compression is tough on a shoulder. I'm a paramedic and trying to follow all the normal care things as much as my stubborn self can. The doc today just told me to take ibuprofen and it is not touching the pain so I hope my ortho doc can do something for me on Monday for the pain. Thanks.

Sounds great Ferg! We defiantly need to see about that. I hope its not a major injury and I can be back shooting after a few weeks of therapy but I guess thats up to the doc.

Switch to a finger release! I switched over the summer so I wouldn't have a release getting in the way when I self film and I am so happy that I did. I am shooting way better then I did with my wrist release. I went with the Tru-Fire Edge 4 finger and love it!

check with a well known local chiropractor as well. The knowledge a good chiro has for diagnosing and treating is pretty amazing. I messed up both my shoulders a lot in hockey. If it was not for my chiro I would have had surgery on both of my shoulders back in high school. Orthos and chiros are great when used together.

Good luck and heal up healthy and fast!

Well just got back from the Doc. He thinks it is just a severe strain of the rotator cuff. A few weeks of light duty and then followup. So as of right now my season may be delayed but it ain't shot!
