was supposed to close on my new house in 2 days, well the sellers got cold feet and backed out of the contract because they decided not to go through with the house they were going to buy. Then I come home to release some stress and shoot my bow at my apartment complex. Well I realized my release wasn't in my case. I accidentally left it out and found it in the area I shoot and the apartment mowers destroyed my Scott release. July has not been good to me!!! To top it off because I didn't get my house I'm debating letting my new pup who isn't ready yet for another week and a half go back to the owner.
ugh... that sucks.. can only get better from here bud! Keep your head up! The house probably happened for a reason... it will all work out.
Man.. keep your head up that's a rough month for sure Sent from my SM-G930V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
It sucks man! But you got to look at the bright side. You get a new release and you will hopefully find a even better house!
Thanks guys! Having a rough go at it this month that's for sure. I think at this point the puppy is going to be my only saving grace this month. I hate the fact she won't really have a yard to run around in but I gotta look at it like I'll be in a house at some point right?
I was shooting the scott mongoose xt release. I really liked it, but you're right... get to try a couple out now at the bow shop and possibly upgrade.
Scott has a no questions asked guarantee. Send the destroyed release in and they will fix it. Sent from my VS500 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
one thing I have learned after 62 years step back take a breath think things over for a day or 2 always works for me---keep the dog, things can and do change in a day or 2 now consider this your bad luck has all happened now the good luck is next H H
Didn't know that about them honestly. I'm not sure what to say when it's been ran through a lawn mower though haha. Not sure if that's going to be covered.
I had a Scott rep at my local bow shop's open house use that exact example when giving me a sales pitch for a new release. Sent from my VS500 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Brother, stuff happens for a reason, good and bad! Hang in there, it'll work out it always does. I have a release ill send to you if you want it, just let me know!
Well I pulled it out of the trash for now. I'll contact them tomorrow and see if I can get an answer. That would be awesome if they could fix it. Appreciate it man!
Aww man i'm really sorry to hear all of this, but i'm sure it will all work out it just takes a little bit.
Well as of today I called Scott twice about a warranty claim. Couldn't get through both times so I left a voicemail one time. They say they usually get back to the voicemails within a day. Hoping they call Monday and can give me an answer. Will keep you guys posted if they can do anything with that release.
Well things are looking up. Just got off the phone with Scott archery and told them the situation. All I have to pay for is the shipping to get my old release to them. I will be getting a brand new release (same as the model I had) for free. That's some great customer service!
