Had a pretty cool encounter with a couple bald eagles yesterday afternoon. My wife was coming home and this eagle was standing in the middle of the road eating a road kill raccoon. She was able to get about 4 car lengths from it before it flew off into the neighbors property. A little while later, this eagle and an immature eagle found their way over to my property. There were about 125 yards away in the timber line. I tried to get some good pictures with my 50-500mm lens, but was having some issues so I ran and grabbed my video camera instead.
