well made a few of the mounts the other day and tried them out. Very happy with them, maybe not as great as the more expensive ones but for a few bucks its great.

I also tested the Durability of the DLC Covert MP6 tripod mount. its chilly out there and i pulled on it a little much and the tripod mounting area snapped right off. Kind of sucks, but whatever.

This is for sure a leak spot on the Covert's, I've have also had trouble with them in the past, along with a number of other people. I just cleaned up the broken pcs., put it back together and epoxyed it. Make sure you keep the epoxy clear of the threads on the nut.

i cud see where that wud help, but i will say i gave it a good pull without thinking so i understand why it broke. and if that is the only weak area for these cameras (that i have found), that aint too bad at all.

That second pic is awful :busted:

Normally the MP6's dont break they just slide out once in awhile

We have upgraded the tripod mount on the 2014 models

My MP-E5 did the same thing. Just take a little arrow epoxy and its better.

I just used a 2 part clear epoxy to stiffen one of my cams up that the tripod mount cracked, worked great. Dont look the prettiest, but got the job done.
It was my fault why it broke.
