My brother just sent me these photos. This is from my mothers backyard in Southern NJ. I rarely hunt there, but, my brother swore that there was a decent buck coming through. Age and Score ??
Yep...Confirmed my guess'... He is just a freak of a 2.5yo...Hope he makes it through the year and into next season, cuz, he is gonna be a STUD !!!! I mean, thats a heck of a rack for my brothers first archery buck, but, its still a 2.5yo deer, no matter which way you slice it. I had him at 122-124" with no break down, just a guess.
Facial features. Body features. Not to mention that this camera is set-up, oh, about 30feet from my mothers back porch. My brother saw this buck this morning. He was just finishing his job of showing my mother that her shrubs are no longer hers . I dont hunt in the area that this buck lives, thus, I have no idea what the "average" size of a 2 or 3yo buck is. This is why I asked for opinions. However, he isnt going to be shot by myself or my brother(so he says. we'll see if he can hold off if given a chance considering he hasnt shot a buck yet. Im sure the temptation will be there), so, should he make it another year- SLAMMER !!
I agree.. Heck of a young buck! He's obviously got the genetics and will be a monster with age and proper nutrition.
