I'm shooting a PSE Brute set at 60# 28" draw length. I've noticed that the bow is alot louder then it is when I first bought it in March. The backstop has a big dent in it from the string hitting it, I shoot the bow quite a bit. do I need to get a new backstop to stop the loud slapping noise it makes when I shoot it?

Did you check the set screws on the string stop? They came loose on mine all the time until I put some locktite on them. I have since put locktite on all the bolts and havent had a problem with noise since.

Yup the screw is probably your problem. If not try a new rubber stopper. They sell some good after market ones that I have heard are much better than the factory rubber stopper.
