Anyone know of any good backpacks I'd like to keep it under $100 I've been looking at the scentlok backpack on basspro anybody have any suggestions or reviews on this one or another one about this size I need one that has straps on the outside to strap on a jacket thanks sorry for the long post
I've had the camelback stryker for a few years and at 65$ it was a great buy.I'm not sure they still make it but if you can find one its worth it,light, roomy and tough. Some of the cabelas models look good too.
I got my dad the Badlands Pursuit pack and he really like it. It has lots of room for what we carry and is lightweight. It also has straps on the back that could probably be used for strapping on a jacket. It was around $79, and got his from Cabelas.
I've got an under armour backpack that I got last year and love. I picked it up at TJ max for like 50$. Its got plenty of straps on the outside for securing extra layers. It also has a great main compartment with room for everything i need to carry. In november when Id do all day sits I had room for extra outwear, binoculars, head lamp, extra descent spray, estrus lure, scent drag, grunt tube, snort wheeze, bleat can, rattling antlers, lunch, 60 oz water, knife, tags, pull up rope, tree harness strap. I'm sure there's more stuff I'm leaving out, but literally this pack held it all and kept it organized. I'm pretty sure it was an older model pack since it was at TJ Maxx, but I wish I could find it again and I'd buy another.
I did the same, I got a $65 backpack and went home and modified it.. I cut some camo material into about 3 to 4 inch strips.. Sewed one end to the inner zippered pouch.. I then put a flashlight (or scent spray, or grunt call, or deer lure, etc.. ) and sewed the other side of the material around it forming a pocket. I did this for a bunch of articles I carry in the backpack.. Kinda made my backpack custom to what I carry.. Took a little time, but watching hunting shows sped the process up.. LOL Now, everything I carry has its own little pouch.. No more digging or loosing things in a big open pouch. The backpack has 3 zippered pockets, so that many pockets made for alot of smaller pouches for alot of articles to go in.. Just passing on a helpful trick that might help with organizing the many gadgets we carry..
