Nailed one last day of the 11/12 season (my first deer ever)

Nailed one today, spike - crappy shot...and couldn't figure out why until I grabbed up my bow when I went back out to track him. My pins had been bent sometime between Wed when I last shot and today.

I had him in at 12 yds and missed, under his left shoulder. Figured it was first shot jitters. He jogged off, but didn't know what had happened so he hung around. He came back in and at 25yds offered me a quartering shot. Picked a hard spot and let fly. Saw I had hit back further then I wanted when he broke off.

I sat for a spell, sent the required got a deer texts climbed down and grabbed a snack and some coffee. When in about hour and a half, found the arrow and had a decent blood trail, got wider and wider as I tracked him. Got to a spot where there was blood everywhere and I bumped him. But he was hurt bad. So I backed off, gave him another hour and he was expired.

Not a beast, but my first bow kill. So I closed out last year and opened up this e year with kills, he's chilling in the cooler, will bone him him out Monday/Tues.

    Outstanding Sean!

Things are starting to click. We need to get out for a day or two come the first two weeks of November. All day hunts to KILL.
