I am sick of buying back packs that don't hold up! I bought a new one before this season started and 3 of the zippers are already broken! what does everyone here use? I seem to always have problems with zippers!

I have a "fox racing" backpack, i bought about 8 years ago, and have used for hunting the last 2 years. I know it's not what you were thinking...but it's an awesome backpack!!

I bought a gander mountain brand pack a few years back... I say im going to buy a new one every year. It has torn pockets and a missing zipper pull, but it gets me through the season just fine. Plus I always find something else to spend that money on.

I bought a $20 fieldline backpack 3 years ago at Walmart, its held up very well to my abuse. All the zippers/snaps still work great, and its been machine washed several times.

Badlands is all i've ever used, I love them. Super comfortable, reliable, and a warranty that cant be beat. They have a pack for just about any application. I currently own the Diablo, which is perfect for deer, but I can't pack meat on it. Next year I will be adding the 2800 to the collection for elk.

If you are serious about a real pack for back country hunting then this is the only thing to look at: http://www.kifaru.net/HUNTHOME.HTM I mean it when I say that nothing else even comes close to the Kifaru longhunter. I can load this thing with 120 lbs of meat (it'd take more but I can't!) and throw it off the mountain if I have to and go pick it up at the bottom, strap it on and comfortably pack it out. It's literally indestructible, it's extremely comfortable, I can shoot my bow with it on my back (full of gear), and I can maneuver through the brush without it hanging up on everything.

I posted this yesterday in the "equipment review" section, I had 8 hits, so I'm glad you put one here.

I wanted to know if anyone uses Bruzer packs/gear, stuff looks good. I'm in the market, so it's either Bruzer or Badlands Hyperday. I have to have straps on the outside for clothing, I can't stand trying to stuff it all inside. I sewed straps on the outside of my current pack, but it's time to upgrade to more pockets.

Check out the Bruzer daypack, you can find them on ebay for $60-70, Badlands will cost ya a bit more. Bowhunting.com is currently sold out of the Badlands Hyperday.

I don't know exactly what you want to do with it though, meat hauling, bow hunting pack, gear?

no meat hauling, just to put my gear and stuff in to get up in the treestand. I just want something that I dont have to worry about ripping out or the zippers breaking. I have had like 3 packs in the last 5 years and all of the zippers are crap!

i got the new pack that bass pro made. the badlands are awesome but soo expensive. the bass pro back pack i got this summer and it has done well since bow season. it was perfect for one hunt sitting or as a full day hunt. it has a h20 bladder compartment. it truley is a small enough bag to not get in the way, but big enough to put enough stuff it.... for $20 bucks it is tuff to beat.

I'm ordering an Eberlestock X2 next week. Lots of good reviews on this one.

I was set on a badlands superday ( no meat hauling) and when I went to cabelas to pick it up, I tried on one of Cabelas Bow Hunter packs and the thing fit me like a glove compared to the superday, especially when there was weight in it. Packs are very much like boots in that I highly sugest you try them on before buying. Each person is different.

I have the badlands super day pack.Mine is a few years old and is not water proof.I purchased an Event stuff sack to put inside of it to keep every thing dry.
Kifaru,Eberstock are companies that are known top notch companies. My pack is fine but I don't make very serious demands of it relatively.

The Eberlestocks that my friends showed up with to goat hunt were both crap. They complained about them the whole time and said they were returning them when they got home. They were extremely unstable for packing a load in the high country and couldn't be properly cinched down.

Think about it, for the money you've spent on 3 pieces of crap you could have bought a Kifaru and not have had to make this post... (No I don't work for them, they're just that good.)
