I truly hope you kill Blade this year.... although when they are gone you are kind of heartbroken. The excitement to check the camera is a little down, the excitement for any other deer is a little down, it just kinda sucks.... Like loosing a good friend. Its bucks like these that will teach you SOOO much its ridiculous. I chased a deer called Pinnacle for 6 years before making a horrible shot high above the lungs (which he survived, got pics dogging does a week later) and then NEVER seeing him again.

Didn't see this until this morning. Amazing how predictable, yet elusive, they can be. This is the year, finding them in the late season last year was the key, you're already a step ahead of them and the season has yet to start.

Have you been able to find any of their sheds?

    Good luck!

No. But with the late winter, I was only able to get out looking once.

Funny, Blade & Buster have a love hate relationship. Buster is definately more aggresive.

    From grooming eachother:

    To light pushing:

    To chasing off:

I'm beginning to think that there's a good chance that Blade is the one that gave Buster his name back in 2011...

Thats good!!! Well, we might as well let our BHOD viewers and Forum followers now that Extreme16 and myself have been invited by Fitz to have a shot at these big bruisers this Fall. We'll be heading up there soon to visit with our host, Fitz, get the tour and put together a plan of attack that will finally put one of these bad boys down on the ground while getting it all on film for all to see!! I can't begin to tell you how jacked we are to have the opportunity to be able to do this and spend some time with Fitz! Stay tuned to the Forums and keep watching the BHOD webshow for future updates!! We also hunt the big woods so I'm hoping it won't be too scary unless you have Sasquatch running around or something....

Trail cam day was kind of a bust. bunch of does and a 15 mo old buck.

I swapped a couple cameras around, and put one of my dad's out for him. I'm hoping to get one more out in a location that up 'til now I haven't been able to access easily. I also have another cam coming in the mail :tu:

I'll probably start my journal thread in the next week or two.
