Finally will be able to hunt for another buck starting Monday. Although its' equivillant to hunting ghosts during gun season here it still feels good to be able to kill one if I want to. I shot my bow buck early (4th day after bow opened). Our gun seasoned opened a week ago and I've been just going along for the sit and videoing my sons 1st year hunting. Don't even take a weapon with me. Unfortunately he's back to school monday and we havent' connected yet. Pretty bummed about that. We still have a couple more weekends to see what we can do (and tommorow). Been a lot of weeks since I've had a buck tag to sport. After I shot my buck I had two more mature bucks (one giant 10 pointer at 15 yards....... ouch). There still out there, just going to be a little tougher. I'm going to dust the ole bow off, fling some arrows with my tundra gear on to make sure everything is cool and see if I can run into another one. A lot harder nowadays but it is what it is. Ya just never know.
I'm back at it on Monday after two weeks off as well. I'm pretty excited, although not nearly as confident as I am at the beginning of archery.
